This is one of those questions that could be debated forever and no answer ever found. However another league that needs consiered is the NWKL. St. Francis, Atwood, Oberlin, Oakley, Colby, Goodland, Quinter and Hoxie. Nearly every team a perennial 3-2-1A and 4A powerhouse.

The NWKL is composed 8 teams, the CTL/AVL is composed of 24 teams. I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but it seems per capita the ratio in the NWKL appears better. 54 ranked wrestlers from CTL/AVL (Madison is gone so you cannot count him) divided between the 24 teams equals to be 2.25 ranked wreslers per team. 26 ranked wrestlers represent the 8 NWKL teams, giving you a 3.25 ranked wrestlers per team ratio. They are just figures not based upon anything.

Since the CTL/AVL has 24 teams and very few leagues have that many, lets even the odds a bit and make them face the NWKL and NCKL combined team (NCKL: Abilene, Clay Center, Chapman, Wamego, Concordia, Marysville).

acbulldog,
Unless I am mistaken this thread was about the toughest league. What does having a dual between a league with 8 teams and one with 24 have to do with anything? A league is a team concept comprised of towns. You printed up individuals in a dual. Not a bad idea but the wrong thread.

as I said it was just stupid numbers... they mean nothing... I didn't say they were better, I said they looked better on paper... and just to remind you this is NOT about a dual(el)!

Pure number wise Bronco wrestler has the upper hand here with a 3.25 vs a 2.25. Minus Maddison Salina Central but you have to add Furches from Derby. Although it only improves the number to 2.29

You are so right acbulldog. Anyone in the wrestling community knows that Western Kansas has no real talent and no real competition. I mean come on, everyone knows that kids from Norton, Colby, Goodland, Hoxie, Oberlin, Scott City, Garden City ect. don't know how to wrestle. Oh and don't forget about the NCKL teams. I hear they are a bunch of pushovers too with teams such as Concordia, Abilene and Clay Center.
In all reality, you really need to get out of your little corner of the state and go west young man. Then you can judge.

acbulldog your opinion is taking a beating on here. Seems a lot more ppl. think the NWKL and NCKL is a tougher league. I am now LOL about the comment about those kids not wrestling tough competition. Were you actually serious?

How about anothe kind of dual. An All-Star dual. West vs East. East wouldn't have a snowballs chance....

yes, because we all know that as soon as you go west of wichita, everybody is a farmer, and they herd goats/sheep.

Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.
