Jones was not a 4xer, but I will agree there are some 3xers that could probably beat some of our 4xers

Oeser is unique as far as I know in that he won 4 times at weights of over 170 all four years, something that I don't think anyone else has done. nearly all 4 timers start out in the first two or three weights where manly seniors are rare, thereby giving them the advantage of not having to deal with the physical maturity factor. Roy oeser dealt with it by being better, and for that reason, in spite of the fact that some of the others possibly won more matches over their careers or maybe went undefeated, I would pick Roy.

I guess the paper in Hays is not aware of Doug Hoover from Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Hoover won titles in 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002.
