Drennen was better last weekend! Drennen and Pyle are a "step above" most other High School wrestlers!

Are Drennen and Pyle still able to wrestle in Kids state. If both of them are let's all meet at the same weight class and have a little bit of fun and wrestle it out. What weight would work best for you 145 or 150 ??

Id like to see them matches. They are all very sound wrestlers. Ive grown up watching my close friend MAtt Pyle Wrestle. I think that he had a bad weekend. If Pyle was to wrestle it over again than I think he'd beat Drennen. I think both the 3a wrestlers are a little better than Johnson though.

I was hoping that to see all three of you guys in the same bracket. I would pay good money to see that.
Congratulations on your fine season, and i wish you the best of luck in the future.

Well I think Matt is still young enough to wrestle so maybe him and Eric could meet in the finals. That ought to be a good match to see.

Lets think about this for a sec. Johnson barely beats Morris from Beloit every time they wrestle, once took double overtime to do it, while Drennan just puts on a takedown show beating Morris hands down every time, who is better DRENNAN. Johnson is great no doubt about that, i mean he was an undeafted state champ but i know Drennan would take him as would the 3rd place from 3-2-1a Pyle.

Well all I can say is, people come on this forum and start topics like this with no backup for their words. They say things like "well this 5a wrestler can beat a 4a wrestler becuase he beat the 6a state champ" and so on and so forth, turely the only way to determine who is the better wrestler is for them to wrestle, obviously. THe next best way is to compare common opponents which is what they will do for seeding purposes. But you can't just come in and say well he dominated a state champion from another classes that makes him better. And trust me I don't defend Jake just becuase hes from Abilene I defend him becuase I see him wrestle and I know him and I know he would win. Now as far as where he wrestled at this year, everyone knows that most good wrestlers have to cut weight in order to be successful. If Jake had not cut to 103 halfway through the season he would have had to wrestle guys at state that had cut from 120-125 pounds. Thats just how it works everyone genreally moves down at least one weight class from their natural body weight.

Eric is wrestling at 150 lbs. It should be a pretty good bracket, with Thomas Rhodes and Ross Taplin, among others.
I think Matt turned 17 before August 31, 2001, which makes him too old to wrestle in the Kids division.

I see we are still trying to decide this one...last year was Pyle's year this year belonged to Drennan,I believe he proved himself this year as being the best.
