135lbs. is a sick bracket - at least 7 guys have over 200 wins and 5 guys have over 180!!!!

140lbs. only has one guy with over 200 wins, although that one guy is Alex Tristis

at 135lbs:
M. Middleton's first match is against
Tim Ebenhoeh Jr 238-4!

and if D. Prater wins his first match he will have the #1 seed Andrae Hernandez 229-5

One 2nd round match looks to feature
Michael Sutton 251-0 v. George Hickman 222-18

The question was asked on another board and never answered. Does anyone know how this tournament is seeded? Some of the seedings do not seem to make sense.

I would guess summer wrestling played a part in seeding the wrestlers, but I don't know for sure

Is there going to be a web site that the results are going to be posted on? Are they going to post them by rounds? What time does the tournament start? Good Luck to Kansas Wrestlers!!

140 has like four 4X state champs in it, so it's not always about match totals in this tournament.

Does anyone know how the kansas guys did first round though?

Hey Mike

You have no idea how tuff this tourney is. You might want to save your geographic praise until its over. No disrespect to those you are praising but only the top few are seeded so anything can happen in the back door. (ie: Cody Garcia matched up against Stayler in the second round!)

So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

Anybody know anything about the kid that beat Garcia? Lets avoid the obvious (ie. he is very, very good!)

Does anyone know if the Jordan Leen from Tennessee @ 130lbs. is Mark Leen's son? Leen used to coach at Garden City Juco and was the Chattanooga coach for a while.

To dwelsh:

The Staylor who defeated Garcia is from Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, and is the younger brother of Christian Staylor, currently wrestling for Arizona State University, and an NCAA qualifier.

The Staylor's are regular participants and high place winners in the summer national freestyle tournaments.
