I know this is going to starta huge controversy, but I have to vote for the Norton Regional. Look at the follwing stats:

7 of the top 10 teams.
33 returning state medalists
41 of 84 currently ranked wrestlers
8 of the 10 returning 321A STATE CHAMPIONS!!

The only other regional I think might come close is Abilene

Thoughts?

Looking at 6A the Wichita Southeast Regional is going to be very tough...About 75 percent of the kids ranked in 6A are at the regional

i would agree, norton is going to be the toughest, you place in regionals there, there is an excellent chance of placing at state, key is surviving regionals...those consolation semi's are going to be a real dog fight! win you go, lose..and you go home...

Wrestling Dad...
Indeed, according to the current 6A rankings, the Wichita Southeast regional appears to be the toughest (in 6A). However, I seriously doubt that the number of ranked individuals is anywhere near 75 percent.
In fact, of the 84 ranked individuals, 37 will go to the Wichita regional or 44 percent. Twenty-one will go to Dodge City (25 percent), 14 will be at Blue Valley West (16.7 percent), and 12 will be at Leavenworth (14.3 percent).

How can you say that T-bird 171 when you can put norton and hoxie up against any team in 4a and they will hold their own if not beat them.

But, For the record the best State Bracket I've ever seen was 321A, when Pyle, Drennen, and Johnson was in it

OK, the Abilene regional may be tough, but the Coffeyville regional is very tough as well.

You all put WAY too much stock in rankings. I barely know of any coaches from the South who send those dang things in, that's why all the "best teams" are from the central and the North. I tell you something, I bet Columbus is the best darn wrestling team in the state right now.

However, that Hesston 3-2-1a regional is incredibly weak. My freshman year, when Caney was 3a, we went to that regional. I wasn't very good, so I didn't qualify, but it still was very weak. That's why all the wrestlers around here pray that we're 3a, because if we're 4a, we have to go to one of the toughest regionals in 4a, but if we're 3a, we have THE easiest regional in 3-2-1a.

Abilene, Clay Center, Colby, and Goodland will undoubtedly have something to say about that.

Will know without a doubt in two weeks.

I'm an alumn of some tough regionals in 4a, but this year hands down it goes #1 Norton, #2 Abilene...and the champions for state should come out of both of the regionals

Gotta agree with swaz--- there are going to be more state quality wrestlers that will be eliminated from the Norton 321a regional and the Abeline 4a regional than any others. there will be some tough weights at several regionals, but Norton and Abeline likely have the best chance of providing at least 1 placer at every weight, and 3 or even all 4 in some.

the # or ranked wrestlers in the norton regional is saverely lower than it should be due to the fact that the rankings compiled for 3-2-1a are comprised with only 4 wrestlers per regional per weight or else the #'s woul be mush more impressive(hard to believe)

Ok im not one to yell at people for spelling, but proper nouns need to be spelled right ... its A B I L E N E - Abilene, Not Abeline there are no presidents in our town's name! Have some respect for the defending state champs and get the name spelled right.

bigkneepads....if you go to the high school link on the left and navigate to 321A rankings, they are different than what you stated, which was done as something on a message board...the real rankings are on that link.

Its either something in the water thats stunting our Eastern Kansas wrestling abilities or it could be that in Western Kansas your only distractions are sheep.
