I would say, teamwise: Columbus, Rose Hill, then Chanute.

Get a grip, Metcalf has beaten Ybarra twice and will win the regional, followed by Ybarra. 152 is not a strong weight at this regional. Just like 215 was not last year.

Oh, I was not aware of Metcalf (where is he from?). Haven't got to see much wrestling this year. Sorry, Make that:

152: Metcalf, Ybarra, Freisberg, Fletcher

I don't understand, they didn't have a regional in Coffeyville last year and the regional in Coffeyville is combined from two regionals last year.

Don't think it will be a very tough regional, I feel sorry for them if they get matched up with the Abilene regional at state.

Nigel sometimes you make some pretty bold statements that might end up making you eat your own words. I feel sorry for any wrestler coming Abilene Regional who thinks they have a easy first round match if the have a kid from the Coffeyville regional. You need to re-look who is all in this regional. The Abilene regional is probably tougher but I think that the Coffeville region will do the next best at state. It might end up being this regional that ruins Abilene chances from winning its coveted back-2-back state title Nigel

Ok so I looked over who is at the coffeyville regional again and aside from Columbus who is pretty darn tough I don't see any other teams that are even close to good. As for Abilene, as I said before it will most likely happen like this ... those wrestler from team Abilene that are supposed to make it to state will make it, those who aren't probably don't stand a chance. Im pretty confident that the Big 5 as I like to refer to them will qualify, and maybe 2 or 3 more will squeak by but im not sure bout that. Keep in mind Abilene won state last year with this same group and now they are back with anohter years worth of experience. Im not saying they will win state but they have a decent shot, as does Columbus and Goodland.

Well, there's Rose Hill and Chanute, who placed above Abilene at the Rose Hill tourney.

there is also some darn good wrestlers from this regional, that can hang with wrestlers from the abilene...even though obviously the abilene regional is tougher.

In defense of Abilene, I know that they were with out 2 of their biggest studs. Jake Kriegbaum (spelling) ranked #1 in 4a at 130 3x state champion going for his 4th, pretty much a given 1st place. There is about 30-40 points right there, if he pinned all of his opponents. Then Tanner Dawson, I believe ranked 2nd at 119 behind Devoe, who would have more than likely made it to the finals if not had won it. There is another 20-30 points which adds up to be quite a bit of team points that Abilene was missing.

I'd throw Sharp in at 112 from Ft. Scott. Pretty tough kid. Had a rough weekend at Rosehill, but could present a problem for Carillo or Hamilton. I'm not familiar with SEK wrestling so perhaps I'm way off base.

Ok, I read the forum now and then. This is the time of year when the "predictions" come out. The C'ville regional is tough. "Regionals" are tough. I just have to say that Carrillo beat Sharp, Hamilton and Pittman head to head. This is an example of the tough competition at The C'ville regional.
Good luck to all.
