How did Gabe Conaghan win regionals and make it this far without getting beaten. In my opinion he is the most over rated wrestler in the state. I know he will get beat out at state, but they should give him an award for thinking he is the best.

Who will beat him?????????? and what do you have against him. He's a great kid and doesn't show any sign of trash talking. He just goes out and wins.

Gabe has a really good guy from Manhattan FIRST ROUND named Daniel Milligan. If he would happen to slide by with that match he would have Todd Foster from Hutch. I just dont see any way he is going to pull it out.

ok, here is a little thought for u, last i knew it doesnt matter how you win its just a matter of who gets their hand raised in the end. Gabe is a great wrestler and as far as i know he is a good guy too

its amazing to me that uou can trash talk such a good wrestler. What more do you want on his resume. He's placed every year, he has a state title and he does well at nationals year in and year out. He's great on top, good on bottom, is never out of position on his feet and controls nearly every tie. Maybe its your idea of technique that is flawed. I'm not going to go out and say hes going to walk through that bracket because there are some very good wrestlers there but if you think he's going to get beat out you need to watch a little more wrestling.

You guys are crazy. I will agree that 171 might be one of the weakest weights in 6a but he did do it last year and that does speak for something.(state champ) Milligan from manhattan? He has a losing record. He took 4th in the north regional which Travis Mize won. Milligan will get stuck. I think kyle frank, brock glessner, matt tatro, todd foster and jeff schieber will make it very interesting this year.

171 will be a brawl this year... dont overlook kyle frank...

I'm a wrestler at 171 lbs with a descent record myself, and I've wrestled Gabe in the summer along with many of the other wrestlers in 6A at 171 lbs. My personal opinion is that 6A 171 is a battle for second. If I were Tatro or Shieber, who are both great wrestlers, I'd be happy that I wasn't on Conaghan's side. I bet Gabe beats one of those two, handily, in the finals, but then again this is my opinion and anything can happen.

You all are overlooking another good wrestler...J Myers. He has given Foster 2 of the best matches he's had, and in my opinion was cheated out of the finals in the Regional Tournament. All this dispite the fact that he has wrestled only a handful of matches. If he isn't able to pull through at State this year, he will certainly be a contender in the future.

This weight class has 1/2 of the wrestlers at .500 or below. Its got to be the weakest bracket I have ever seen!

Why do you knock the kid? Obviously he is good are he wouldn't be a state champ.

NONE of these kids should be knocked. To knock ANYONE on this forum is silly and unproductive.

Anyone who is brave enough to step out on a mat and wrestle others should be commended, not put down.
