I know Madden is a stud but I think Burtin is really exceptional. I know it is hard not to put him in the finals and he is helped with the Norton tradition but I think Burtin is possibly top 5 in the whole tournament.

Ironically I would have picked Burns before the Regional and logically I know he will wrestle better after the loss than before. i didn't hesitate to pick him over the kid who beat him last week, but if he is the kid i am thinking of from two years ago, he wrestled much better the first day than the second. Some coaches just do a better job of having kids mentally ready to wrestle at state. To me that is the x factor and why I took Roe.
At 171, I think either of these two and also Kingsbury of Smith C and Alexander of ACCHS could win it. I know it is hard to argue against an undefeated state champion. That is why I put Foster in the finals but I have been impressed with Ross for quite a while and thought he was better than Foster last year even though he didn't win state that is why he got my pick.

to tell you the truth... i think kepka will be in the finals... he has to beat mosley...but he is physical and smart... he knows what to do and when to do it... he would be undefeted... but like Zack Cemen, he lost to a kid from Nebraska... WATCH OUT MOSLEY

There isnt no way that kepka will beat mosley. Mosley is such an animal, hes goin to tear kepka up bad, and we'll all laugh....Hard! and besides you dont see kepka haveing a 38-2 record should 0nly be 38-0 and th eonly 2 losses that he has is from outta state at oklahoma is what he told me at the SPC in hays but owell.

Little Boy "BLUE" whats your beef about with Kepka? Hasn't he rubbed your nose on the mat a time or two? He will be in the running.

Ross losses to Kingsbury 3 to 2 in OT. Wow! Foster and Kingsbury in the finals, this should be a good championship match.

Definitely some power-houses in 171 this year. Gave the crowd lots to cheer about. Looking forward to the championship match.
