A combination is best, unfortunately, there is no sport in the fall that combines this. There is the explosive sport of football and the conditioning sport of XC. I was always in good enough shape from wrestling by the time meets started that my long term conditioning was up to where it needed to be, and my explosiveness was already up from football. So really if you want the perfect wrestling exercise, play football and run a few miles a few days a week, or do XC and get some sprints in there every once in a while
