Bobcat Classic champion Glenwood won its opener in today's Iowa State Dual Team tournament by defeating Mount Vernon 47-18. The fourth seeded Rams (16-0 in duals) will meet top-seeded Union of LaPorte City (a 47-22 winner over New London) in this afternoon's semifinals at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. Union will take a 23-3 dual record into the meet.

BigRed .... thanks for the updates on Glenwood .... hope it doesn't sound bad if i tell you that it makes some of us in steveville wonder what might have happend at the bobcat if mike and nick had been able to wrestle.

Oh, no question Steve. I'd love to see a head-to-head match-up between Turner and Glenwood (or another Iowa school like that).

Glenwood is a terrible town. When I was in Iowa for the caucuses, they didn't even have a Taco Bell. Plus, their water tower looked really old.

At any rate, Glenwood lost in the semis to Union, 29-27 and is wrestling New Hampton in the third-place match as we speak.
