did anyone think that the way andrew carrillo acted after defeating Isaac Wall was inappropriate? Obviously the coaches didn't because they named him most outstanding.. but i thought his sportsmanship could have been a little better...

I was there, and I do not think he acted wrong at all. He celebrated a great win that was it, he beat a state champ give him some credit.

I would have to say that the fact that Carrillo won the most outstanding wrestler award, an award that I'm not sure if you are aware is given based on the consensus of the coaches at the tournament, shows that both his performance and his behavior were exceptional. Has a wrestler who was both an exemplary athlete and exemplary sportsman won this award? The coaches decided. The coaches, are who decides what the tenor and attitude of their team will be. What Carrillo did was realize he had won, beating both his opponent and a biased referee. His response (shaking his opponent's coach's hand, hugging his head coach and hugging his father after beating the 1st ranked wrestler in the state) was very appropriate showing the outstanding job his coaches and family have done instilling this measure of good sportsmanship. Just because you're happy you won, doesn't make you a bad sport.

I also believe that Carrillo was just happy that he won. Did he do anything to deserve NOT to win? Obviously not. Congratulations Andrew!

Care to elaborate on that? I too would like comment on that, considering most of the crowd thought that Wall should have had two reversal points with two seconds left in the match. I thought that was one darn good match, which should have gone into ot myself.
