How about Tyler Gonzales being State Champ at 189 in his first full year of varsity wrestling!! It goes to show that hard work and dedication helps one achieve their goals. This accomplishment also shows us that nice guys CAN finish first!!

I must admit however that Tyler had a secret weapon this year with that great coaching at Shawnee Heights! Way to go Tyler, we are all proud of you!

Way to go TD, you the man! Nobody worked harder than Tyler in the room last year, even though he was JV.

Coaching against him in a jv dual last year, I remember telling another coach that he was going to be something else when he made varsity. Way to go, tyler. Dad, I bet you are very proud.

I too remember coaching against Tyler and he was such a stud. I too could see into the futurre but Dingbat beat me to the punch so now he will certainly think that his knowledge is bigger. WRONG.

Again....Big ups to tyler and I look forward to watching him defend his state title.

on that same note, hard work and dedication can prevail. i would like to say congratulations to Kenny Aubrey from shawnee mission south. he is a good kid and hard woker. he came into the sport his freshman year, with no experience, and picked up quick and is now the 6A 135 champ his junior year.
