Does anyone know what happened to Nathan Walker,
110 lb. 12 & under from District 2 North? It does not appear he was entered at Sub. District even though he won at the Classic.

He was listed on the bracket at subs, I believe at 105. There were ALOT of kids that did not make weight at Andover, so it is possible he didn't make it either. I usually make a point to say hi to him when I see him, but I don't remember seeing him at all Saturday. And he should have been wrestling the same mat as my son.

Nathan was entered at 105 seeded 2nd behind Detmer. Apparently they wanted to change to 110, but there club was not present at the seeding meeting. When their club representative called on the phone they told the district chairman they had no changes. The 12 under seeding group had his qualifing form pulled to validate that his parents signed him up at 105. The rumor was he didn't even know until mid-week that he was on the 105 bracket for Sub's. I'm not sure he even tried. Definitely a state placer. It is just a bad deal for the kid.

Indeed that is too bad! My son Rhett had hoped to meet Nathan at the District 2 Championship. Rhett beat him at Maize & Nathan beat Rhett at Classic in a great match. Maybe we will run into him next year.
