103 - Harding (Winfield)beat both 6A finalists & pinned DeVoe
112 - Gardner (Shawnee Heights)too slick for Patton
119 - Metzler (Newton)beat Charbonneau
215 - Seiler (Bishop Carroll)beat Hemmerling
275 - Ubben (Phillipsburg)without a doubt

You were close but these are better, and have beaten better competition.

Dukes over Vogel and Chrisman? give me a break. I'm tired of people going don't forget Dukes, I worship the ground Dukes walks on, etc. Somebody asked who would win between Vogel and Chrisman and here comes "don't forget about Dukes."

112 lbs. don't be so quick to leave out Josh Baldridge a freshman from Campus or Shawn Drennen at 140 lbs.

Again I would have to say TJ Staab from Plainville at 215. 35-0 is hard to ignore. Also Drennan is probably the best at 140.

I think Tanner Gardner is the best over 112 pounder followed by either Schwartz or Baldrige. Probably Schwartz even though he lost to Baldrige. Tanner beat Mainus, Denault, Bahe, Baldrige(9-3), Ortiz. I am sure he would have dominated Patton. I wish I could see them wrestler. Maybe they will be in the same kids bracket.

Definatly Drennan at 140, never seen anyone better this year or even close except Pyle. Johnson would give him a match but in the end i think Drennan would dominate

How can you say that about Dukes? He is a state champion and should be considered in that catagory.
I don't know if you were at the state tournment, but if you were you would have noticed there is a lot more talent in the 4A 145# than the 5A or 6A. Everybody doubted Dukes all year and all he has done is proved people wrong. So keep talking and maybe we will be lucky enough to see them wrestle. But my money is on Dukes.

Pearls, I wasn't making fun of dukes or ragging on his wrestling, I'm sure he's a fine wrestler, maybe even third in the state. I was just poking fun of people that worship the ground he walks on. And yes I was very much at the state tournament.

Grassroot, how can you say Schwartz is the best at 112 when he didn't even win state. Although the score was 8-7 in his finals match, he was beat pretty soundly by Gardner from Shawnee Heights. Gardner was up the whole match. Also, he beat the state champs in 6A and 4A( Baldridge and Mainus)

Johnson is not better than cisper. cisper pinned him in freestyle this past summer i mean he cant be that much better. i haven't seen drennan or pyle wrestle but what i have heard they r pretty good but it is so hard to tell who is better than other people without them wreslting and as for dugan if they would wrestle again i think cisper would win.

With kids being in different classes it is hard to set here and say who is the best. The only way to do it in a season is to look at head to head matchups and common opponents. Summer wrestling means very little as kids change from season to season. Even last years matchups are not a fair way to pick out who is best. It is fun to predict these though.

103 Harding (Better wins against commons)
112 Gardner
119 Metzler (Beat Charboneau)
125 Hoover (4 Timer, Jones would a close 2nd)
130 McReynolds (Competitor)
135 Bogart
140 Duggan or Drennan (Tossup)
145 Vogel (Dominant Season)
152 Kromer (weak weight)
160 Stewart (another weak weight)
171 Conaghan (great match wrestler)
189 Dyer (need I say more)
215 Seiler (Beat Hemmerling)
275 Ubben (Dominant Hwy., be a great match with Pulliam, but experience would prevail)

They don't have the stand out wrestlers any of the other weights do.
