http://www.hardawayhawks.com/ The 2004-2005 wrestling year was a success due to hard work and devotion from our wrestlers. After starting 1-6, the Hawks finished the season by winning 13 out of the last 17 matches. This was a great accomplishment when you consider that eight starters were first year wrestlers. We showed great improvement in the City Championships by finishing 3rd and scoring the most points ever by a Hardaway team in the tournament. Hardaway finished the season with 8 wrestlers who posted at least 20 wins this season. We also placed 8 out of 14 wrestlers in the 4-A state tournament. Six of those wrestlers will be back next year.
If you are an incoming freshman interested in wrestling next year, please call me at school to let me know (649-0748). We will be attending two camps this summer. You are invited to attend as well as participate in summer weightlifting. We are expecting to improve upon last year's record and accomplishments. If we work hard in the off season, we will accomplish these goals.
