I saw the match between Cody and Tim. Tim was behind 5 points. Tim took Cody down strait to his back. Cody went to squallin and the ref stoped the match. I thought the match should have been tied at that point because near fall criteria was met. At any rate at this point it is a 2 point match before anyone got hurt. I dont believe anyone who is only ahead by 2 can be projected an easy winner. However Cody did get hurt, Pain and injury are part of wrestling. Stating that I would have won if I hadnt got hurt is no more excuse than I would have won had I not been pined. Wrestling is a sport where the tough prevail and the toughest kid on that day prevailed. Would he win if they wrestled today I think so, but nobody knows thats why they wrestle. As to the question as to what place Tim earned at state, Tim was ranked 2nd all year long, and didn't place. I would bet any amount that he was as dissapointed as a young man could be. But I can't find anywhere on this forum or anywhere else where he is making excuses, complaining, or boasting as to who he can or COULD have beat.
