Isn't Baldridge a two time state champ and undefeated this year? I really don't know but if he is how could he not be your pick?

I've pinned guys with super human strength. He's very good I'm sure, but I think I at least deserve a shot. I'm undefeated as well and it would be a good match I think. I want to thank you for your support, though. It means a lot to me. Go Jhris!!

Daniel Prater from Pratt at least deserves mention at this point.... no state titles but undefeated after winnig Garden City, where Ponderosa and 3 other very good Colo. teams were, Liberal, where several very good texas teams and colorado teams were. Daniel has won every time , even when not at his best, has not had any convenient sicknesses or injuries that have kept him out of tough tournaments, and is due. Baldrdge is a super wrestler, maybe better than Daniel (Ihaven't seen Josh wrestle since last year) but I think it would be too close to call until the final whistle. also, Saturday Tibbles was beaten by a wrestler named Nash Burtin(?) from Eureka, who must be pretty salty in his own right. Tait Weatherby was also beaten at his league meet ,( an 8-1 decision ) by Ortiz from Ulysses. I would say that Ortiz looks better than any 125er I have seen this year, right now.

Jhris -

Not trying to dis you here, but what was your score with Strait last year at Beloit in the semis? Horinek beat Strait last year in the state finals. Another reference point would be Jordan Bedore, did you wrestle him last year at Newton?

Have to admit you looked much better this year than last, but Horinek has too.

Horinek is not too bad of an all-around athlete - football scholarship to Colorado State; only losses in wrestling during the past two years that I am aware of were close mathes with Jordan Bedore; and set the state record in the discus on on "off" day. The kid is both a stud and a class act.

I agree, given your success this season, that you deserve the chance. Perhaps you'll meet him in the event fka as the East/West Dual.

My match with Strait was quite pathetic actually. I lost 5-0 after being tossed in the first period. I know being tossed is bad and all, but if you take that away, you have a match. I saw the match last year in the state finals and it was pretty close. I'm sure he's gotten better because everyone does. I'm just saying that I've worked my butt off in the off-season to get strong, and oh yes I got strong, to be a better athlete. I also hate losing, so if you put me and him together I would give you guys your moneys worth if you came to see it. If it ever happens that is.

And by coach, I mean that I don't know exactly who you are, so I said it just in case.

I'm sure the thought of me teaching my unorthodox crab ride/powerhalf and baiting a headlock so that I could hit a duck under would be enough to give Coach Baker nightmares!

So I'll stick to being a fan.
