Not a chance, he should of never went to the finals last year. Marcus herrera would of beat him by at least 5. I would think him and herrera would be in the same weight class this year.

I disagree with all of you who think Mancuso's run may have been a fluke. He may have had a good draw, and he did get destroyed in the finals, but who wouldn't have been destroyed by McCormick?

What I saw last year was Mancuso wrestling like a ma-ohny ma-ohny ma-ohn at the state tournament. As my close personal friend Dickie V (Dick Vitale) says, maybe our friend Mr. Mancuso is a P-T-Per (prime time player). So the dude had the cojones to step up and wrestle manly at state...don't be mad at him for it.

I can see Mr. Mancuso has had his moment of glory on this thread… I think he is an outstanding wrestler and all of you that have danced under the big lights in the coliseum. But to say “will he win it this year” He better stay small because the fatties will be shrinking bodies from a summer of eating HoHo’s… nothing like dropping 25lbs. to become a lean mean “buff” wrestling machine. Let the big dogs out of their cages.

if he stays at 125 then he has a shot at winning state. Going up though will only hurt him.

david sielert didnt lose to tyler all that bad. sielert also nearly teched mancuso at emporia duals aswell.....if he made 119 at nat. why didnt he do it during high school. tougher or easier weight between 119 and 125?

Sielert
119-Didnt go 119 because he didnt want to cut that much. he wouldnt have cut that much in the first place for 119, but it still wouldve sucked. flashbacks from him cutting hard for 103 probably swayed him away from that. From what i understand, he was good enough and ranked that like 5th, but the weight cutting hurt his chances of placing. Also at nationals he didnt place...was one away from all-american.

125-He wanted to win a state championship more than anything and he got pinned in a close match against mccormick during the first third of the season. He knew that he couldnt beat tyler, not an opinion, just a fact.

130- Very logical weight for him. Eat as much as he wants, dont cut much at all, stay strong and 130 wasnt that strong in the first place. He knew that he had a decent shot at the title. He took the gamble and it paid off. By the way,i saw the state semi's match where he won in overtime against BJ Essex...great match. Heck, he even made the metro classic dual at 130....none of that wouldve happened if he had gone 119 or 130.

I believe marcus herrera beat sielert at the emporia quad by maybe 4 or 5? But he would of had to get through him to get to mccormick anyway at 125.
