Can anybody who lives in or near Concordia and has actually eaten food in the town recommend a restaurant to eat at, other than Pizza Hut or Taco Bell?

Bill -
I just stayed their last weekend to watch the Beloit Invite. We ate at Cafe Gaston. Good food, friendly service... but small. I don't know if you were planning on taking the team, but if so I'd call ahead. If it's just for you it's about the only restaraunt in town that serves beer, dry county.
Salud!

On the way home on Day 2 I'd say just hit up Salina if you go that way.

great chili rellenos there

I believe uncle gibbs was to the south- Now I am not from Concordia and maybe I am wrong but it had a fire and not yet recovered from that. the place to the North might be "the wonderful chinesse restuarant".
I know Jammers is now called friends and they moved to a big location near the old Walmart plaza.
Best food in Con in my opinion is El Puerto but many of the kids I talk to like TJ's (Taco Johns)

Swayz,
I just gave them money and unleashed them on the city of Concordia since the retaurants were so close to the hotel and I wasn't sure when we would be done. Some made it to the buffet at Friends, most went to Subway and I settled for a double quarter-pouder meal and McFlurry from McDonald's. All of the parents went to eat at Gaston's and said it was as good as advertised.
