So what do you think about four mats at 321A state?? I think it will be tought to follow all of them -- especailly if you are doing a bracket.

I don't think that it's that hard to follow the bracket if the tournament directors keep up on top of things. It's State I think they'll be fine, and way ahead of time.

What a difference the extra mat at Hays made I talked to my son at 6:00 and they just finished the semi finials.

When we first arrived, I did not like the layout of the mats. I thought it would restrict the view too much from lookin straight down on the sides. The view from the ends was great. However, after the tournament started it was really nice. We waited for all the Semi's to finish and most of the first round on the backside and still made it back to the hotel by 7:00!

I would like to also throw in that I witnessed one of the most intense matches in a long time.
The match between Weartherbee (TMP) and Baker (Hoxie) was just awesome. Weatherbee won in 2OT.

That was a dumb comment seen as how there are only three mats per for each class. Now if Wichita was running 12 mats that would be chaotic now wouldn't it?

We just got home from Hayes - I liked how quickly things went with 4 mats, except when there were multiple matches you wanted to watch.

If you were sitting on the west side you couldn't see half of the closest two mats. That is why people had to be at the railing to tape the matches and put up with the announcer complaining about them being out of the seats.
It was an advantage to allow more travel time but personally, I would just as soon not had as much free time, I don;t know the purpose of being done at 7 on friday. I would have rather been watching wrestling

I could understand the announcer complaining about people sitting with their legs dangling off the railing, but I never understood the problem with parents filming. If parents were filming I would walk around or wait - we're all there to watch our sons wrestle. I met many great parents there waiting until filming was complete.

Everything did run alot faster which was great, but the view was not so much--you couldn't see the mats --I guess that is the price you pay for time. ALl in all I do think that everything went well with the additional mat. Thanks for you opinions.
