Does anyone know who was selected as coach and wrestler of the year in 321A? I've been looking on the net for the info, but haven't seen anything yet.

I think the coach was from Wellsville. Wasn't that what they announced before finals and then he wasn't there and the kids picked it up for him.

Dont know how many of you know coach Paul Steeby, but it doesnt surprise me that he wasnt to be found because he gives all the credit to the boys. Also it is said that all the money he makes coaching goes right back to the kids and high school wrestling programs. Very soft spoken but a great person all the same
Congrats to Coach Paul Steeby

Paul Steeby won the award given by the officials for congeniality. The coach and wrestler of the year have not been announced.

Baker has a great shot at it, but when you have kids like that, how can you not win, my thought would almost look at going more toward Coach Johnson

I may not have all of the facts but I believe Baker & Cristner have both recieved the officials award for sportsmanship in the past 5 years. Check with the Kansas Wrestling Officials Association and they can tell you what criteria they use to nominate a coach who has exhibited a high degree of sportsmanship.
