I've been wondering what the Kansas lineup is going to be for that for sometime now.

Now don't you have to live within so many miles of Kansas City to be on the team if I'm not mistaken? I know in years past I think it's been 80 or 100.

171 is pretty stacked.

Malloy - Shawnee Heights
Starcher - Tonganoxie
Wiscombe - Sante Fe Trail
Sonderegger - Shawnee Mission East

I know that a few of each of these wrestlers losses came to one of the others in this group, but all would represent Kansas extremely well in the Metro.

They might take two like they did back when Dyer and Stevens were in the same weight class at 189. This sounds like the same situation. And didn't they take two last year with Payne and Steinmetz?

I dont want to seem completely biased because I am a former DeSoto coach, but another 171 lb wrestler who could make a push is Leif Goleman from DeSoto who lost to Starcher from Tonganoxie 4-2 in OT in the Ft. Scott Regionals...

He has also had tough matches (as well as overtime matches) with Sonderegger. I am pretty sure that all of his losses have come to Wiscombe, Starcher, and I can recall 3 to Sonderegger... but he's another 171 lb. who deserves recognition, and quite possibly with an amazing finish at the 4A state tournament he could as well be a candidate for the Metro.

Regardless, I am impressed with all the 171's I've seen. Great job guys.

Bloodgood is only a junior, but he should definetly be a consideration for next year. A very good wrestler at 125 this year.

To ninjagnat, I thought that Bloodgood was only a junior, my fault, but I notice that you have him at 119... he wrestles 125.

Yeah I think maybe Starcher and Wiscombe should go as of now before the "big dance".....yet anything can happen in Wichita. Anyone of those can have a great tourney and push the others out......in any case they all have had great years so far and all desearve recongnition!

possible MO lineup:
103 - Kurt Brashear 3-1
112 - Craig Honeywell 1-1-1
119 - Zach Anderson-Boland 6th (defaulted)
125 - Ryan Moyer 3-2-1
125 - James Van Zant 4-3-2
130 - Michael Dunkum 1st
135 - Julian Gunnels 1st
140 - Tyler Hobbs 2nd
145 - Tyler Grayson 2-1-1
152 - Cameron Harms 2-0-2
160 - Brandon Simpson 1-1-1 (greco national champ)
171 - Michael Moore 5-0-1 (national fs runner up)
189 - TaylorMoore 1 (national triple crown winner)
189 - Louis Caputo 1-1-1 (greco national champ)
215 - Mark Ellis 5-1
275 - Jeron Baston 3-1

They usually double up a couple of weights, I'm just guessing on this.

No worries...you get a whopping 7 pound allowance (99% sure you do). He shouldn't have much trouble making 126.

Man, 145-189 are stacked for Missouri, we need to make up for it in the lower weights.

any idea of what the KS team will look like now? I know there will be 2 171's and 2 189's. I'm sure Sonderegger and Malloy will be at 171 and Cisper at 189. Ibarra at 152. Curran at 215. Any other ideas? Thanks

Kansas is going to get crushed this year for sure. Hate to be negative, but it's not looking good. Off the top of my head, I think Curran and Wiscombe have the best shot for KS.
