I never said that champions don't want revenge; on the contrary, if opportunity presents itself, that's great. But shaping your entire senior season toward one match in February (that conceivably could never happen) is silly.
As it was so aptly just put, the only important match is the next one. That's the only match that matters to a true champion. If that next match happens to be against someone you can get a little payback on, that's just gravy. Obsession is for suckers, and suckers usually lose in the end.
