After further evaluation of the circumstances regarding the tag team match at state, I have made the decision that there were several errors involved.

In the rush of activity, both teams were found at fault for several illegal tags that took place during the course of action. This illegal activity, made it difficult for the official on the mat to maintain order. I must comment here that this was not the officials fought. We need to all remember that there was an original plan for a second official to be on the mat, Steve Herman. Steve participating in the state tournament had an unforeseen meeting and could not attend the tag team match. As a result, Mr. Koranda not only had to do the work of two men, he did not get paid any extra for his efforts.

Mention must also be made regarding the illegal tactics of the coaches involved. Mr. Eric Akin should have known that when he went out to face The Swayz. He was facing a Big, Crazy Man, this was after all "The Swayz." As a result unexpected violence and a vicious body slam resulted. While Mr. Akin may be a World Class Wrestler, and 4X All American, we all learned the lesson of what happens when a light weight ties up with a heavy weight. Can we again, all spell, B-O-D-Y S-L-A-M?

Thirdly, and again, as determined by the head office, the second overtime was unforeseen and in that this is still a new sport the rules were not fully defined. No rules were in place to determine how we would determine the winner of the match. That being said, and in that we want to promote the sport of wrestling, and not coin tosses, I have come to my conclusion.

As a result of the above mentioned items, I have determined that the National Tag Team for Tyler Championships is herby declared, Vacant. Vacant as a result of the above mentioned violations that occurred by both coaches and wrestlers.

In conclusion, It should also be noted that the wrestlers participating in the said event, while partially at fought, they also exhibited a great deal of emotion, quality wrestling, training, and even expense to participate in the event. As a result, they will also be allowed to be the next teams involved in the Challenge for the Championships which will occur at a later date to be determined.

Let it be known that this public display of said findings indicates that the findings are final and binding.

I know I trained hard. The night before but we got a disturbing the piece call on the room next to us. That's what happens when three guys are in one room with little space for horseplay.

Yes we trained as hard anyone in the state tournament, and the Forum Police just arrest Andrew Gossett for a violation, DISTURBING THE PEACE was the charge, I guess 3 guys practic'n for the match can create a little extra noise..... and yes we want a rematch, with very defined rules and a second offical so the Terrible/Terrific Three cannot cheat.

Alex

p.s. Does this make their win noll and void? If so that trophy can be mailed to(yes Gossett give it up):

Alex Ryan
3232 Winners Lane

or

Curtis Chenoweth
1 State Runnerup Road
Clearwater, KS 67026

or

Cole Caylor

How do you disturb the piece, do you not cuddle?

As outraged as I am about having our hard earned (luck of the coin toss) victory I am ready any day for a rematch. While I am still confused as to the actual name of our team (terrific, terrible, threatening) three, we are ready, willing, and able to snatch another victory from our not-so-worthy opponents by shear luck once again. You just give me a call when its go time.

PS. Mr. Furches, I believe I was a top bidder for two items in the silent auction that ended saturday. Should I send you a check?

PPS (or PSS i was never sure which) Gossett, if you send that trophy anywhere it needs to make its way out to southwest kansas for a spell. Thats

I believe that I am actually the true owner of the trophy, as I am the one who brought it, and spent a couple of dollars on, and was the only remaining member of the team that earned it in the first place.

As true as that may be, the fact remains the commish has ruled against both teams for the time being. Perhaps Furches should reside over the prize until a rematch can be sanctioned.

The ruling was that neither team won that match. My team still won the first match, so the trophy should still be ours.

There were no janitors involved. We all just started wandering around the school and Gossett showed us the closet. I believe it was the Swayz's idea to take one. So it should go to him.

Yes, Curtis you are right! I DID SHOW YOU THE CLOSET. The closet it my school which means the trophy is rightfully mine.

While you may think this match was in review...blahblahblah...I have reviewed quite thorougly and with fellow wrestling teammates and we came up with the final score being

Threatening Three 21
Unscoring Oldschoolers 17

Another thing: The first match could have just as easily been in review as this was the very first meeting, there weren't any completely defined rules and many lamo-shmamo calls were made. Such as...

1) Techinical Violation - Hair piece
2) Various escape points given (although out of bounds etc.)
3) Illegal tag was called to even up the score although the tag was clearly made out of bounds.

You see the bulk of evidence is overwhelming and I sure wish you would see the clear picture.

Aaron: Disturbing the peace may have been the call but there was no cuddling taking place in my room, other than when the ladies were present. Although I say there was no cuddling, Alex did try to warm up to me in his sleep. Thank god I was alert!

The Commish
Can we say reading comprehension? In that, not everyone can be present at the match in Topeka, due to the need, desire, or dream of some, to graduate, the match will not be a championship match. As to all questions regarding the current champions, again, the title is now V-A-C-A-N-T. That means we have no champion and will have to wrestle for a new champion at some point in the future. I hope that other freestyle / greco tournaments will make the offer of an exhibition.
