Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion Kids Folkstyle Junior Viking - Capital City Challenge

I would like remind everyone there will be Saturday evening weigh in times for the Junior Viking – Capital City Challenge. We are encouraging you to take advantage of this opportunity. It will definitely play a role in our ability to get the early Sunday start that we are hoping for. Seaman High School is at 50th and Rochester Road in Topeka, KS. We will begin at 5:00pm and run until everyone is done. You will enter the weigh in room through the NORTH school entrance.

For those of you who can not make it on Saturday evening, we are moving "up" our planed schedule for Sunday weigh in. We will start at 6:00am on Sunday (our flyer said 6:30am).

We are offering a full breakfast and lunch menu and will have snacks and drinks available all day long.

On behalf of the Junior Viking Wrestling Club I would like to thank all the clubs who sent in entries. We have some very high caliber wrestlers entered in the open division and we were able to draw up some very robust novice brackets.

Because of the high volume of entries we received, we strongly discourage any further changes. Only for the very best of reasons will changes even be considered.

We intend to do everything in our power to start on time…we consider this a high priority.

HOW MANY KIDS DID YOU END UP WITH?

I talked to Mark on Tues. nite and he said he had over 700 entries. He told me some of the names of the entrants and sounds like a lot of good competition.

I hope this weather coming in doesn't detain many wrestlers.
