Three years ago today my teammate and best friend A.J. Polansky was killed in a car accident near his family farm in Belleville, KS. A.J. was a 2-time state finalist, winning the class 6A championship for Manhattan High School at 275 lbs in 1997.
I know that many tragedies have befallen the wrestling community over the years. Many of our boys have been called home before their time. I offer this post as a chance to pay homage to those from our tight-knit community who are no longer with us.
Congrats, Aquinas! Great job, Hat Town! Salyer Rules!

AJ is just one of a few guys I wrestled through kids fed or otherwise that has tragically had life cut short.
I would also like to remember guys that I actually faced on the mat and hold them in highest regard to this day:
Matt Skaggs (Council Grove) Bill Heinecke (Abilene) Eric Doperalski (Wamego)
God Bless!
