I understand your position on supporting what we already have, however, adding a DI program to Kansas would boost participation in all levels of Kansas wrestling. I would also bet the house that KU would have no problem selling out when teams like OU, OSU, Iowa, Iowa State, etc. came to town.
Let's face it, as much as I respect the JUCO and DII programs in Kansas, DI is where all the attention is. Most kids don't grow up dreaming of wreslting for Colby College!! Lets give them a chance to wrestle for a school that is well known and respected from the rest of the nation!!
