Attendance at these events depends on the committment of the university to provide an advertisng budget for all sports. Metro Sports in Kansas City would be a huge benefit and/or tool to help promote wrestling and attendance to these events. I coached at Southwest Missouri (before they dropped it). They womens basketball program hardly drew any fans. They were given a large infusion of advertising dollars to keep up with the mens basketball team. Now they draw crowds as large as the mens and sometimes more fans than the mens program. It can be done. The wrestlers also need to be active in the community.
