can someone tell me how the top 4 seeds are bracketed at state? does it go in order district 1 seed on the same side as district 2 at the top? and district 3 on the same side as district 4 at the bottom? just asking about the top seeds from each district?

I am not sure how it will be but District 1 and 3s 1st placers will be on the same side and District 2 and 4s will be on the same side. In other words district 1 and 3 match up and 2 and 4 match up. Hopefully this helps

From the home page go to the Folkstyle State Wrestling Flyer. It says district 1 vs. district 3; district 2 vs. district 4.

Last years master state bracket looked like this:

District 1 - First
District 2 - Fourth

District 4 - Second
District 3 - Third

District 4 - Third
District 3 - Second

District 1 - Fourth
District 2 - First

District 3 - First
District 4 - Fourth

District 2 - Second
District 1 - Third

District 2 - Third
District 1 - Second

District 3 - Fourth
District 4 - First

So it appears that this year's bracket would be as follows:

District 1 - First
District 3 - Fourth

District 4 - Second
District 2 - Third

District 4 - Third
District 2 - Second

District 1 - Fourth
District 3 - First

District 2 - First
District 4 - Fourth

District 3 - Second
District 1 - Third

District 3 - Third
District 1 - Second

District 2 - Fourth
District 4 - First

It could be that the seconds and thirds are reversed within the brackets, however, I'm not certain. Maybe, Mike can confirm or correct this.

djpenka has presented the brackets correctly. The exact placement of the 2nd & 3rd place qualifiers will not be known until after the district tournaments. At that time, the state tournament directors will announce the pairings. Until then, djpenka's presentation is as good as you will find.
