Who returns the most points and most state qualifiers and state placers for next year. Are there any teams that may surprise everyone?

I think that Salina South is going to have a tough team next year considering that they are only losing one senior that contributed to their points total at state this year.

Manhattan is only losing three seniors (two of whom scored points at state...), but more importantly they are losing lots of funny jokes and hilarious times.

Hopefully young Subba Bchoenfeld and Jhris Cennings will be able to step into the role of super-hilarious jokeman.

They're also losing a green monster truck.

If I recall Correctly, my alma-mater Chapman may be returning everyone and they finished 21st...could surprise some with some talented up and coming freshman on the next season.

Hoxie returns 8-9 qualifiers (including 3 state champs). Plus I believe Charlie Ochs will be back from an injury. Les Brown, Help us out, how many of Hoxie's 218 points are back?

If you've never been beaten, you've never been far away enough from home.

I'm not smart enough to calculate point totals, but of Hoxie's 13 qualifiers 5 were seniors. Spillman placed 2nd at 125, Schamberger placed 6th at 145, Lewis placed 4th at 152, Cooper did not place at 189 and Pratt placed 5th at 215.

Returning will be Farber 2nd @ 103, Schamberger 3rd @ 112, Baker 1st @ 119, Gilliland 1st @ 130, Schippers 1st @ 135, Schippers 2nd @ 140, Campbell DNP @ 160 and Shipley 4th @ 171. And two time medalist Charlie Ochs, if he is healthy after a year's rest.

I don't see how anyone could argue that Hoxie should be the favorite in 321A again next year. However from that always tough NWKL look for Oberlin and St, Francis to both finish higher than they did this year. These two teams have some very talented young kids with state placings and experience.

Norton was awfully young and talented this year too. And have a tremendous group of junior high students preparing to step up too.

Although they don't have a long history, St. Thomas Aquinas currently has a lot of talent developing and some good freshmen coming in next year.

If my calculations are correct, Hoxie should return 161.5 state points. That's without Charlie Ochs. That is still more state points than any other team scored this year.

In Wichita and the surrounding areas I think Bishop-Carrol, Wichita Heights, Kapaun, Derby, and Valley Center were all fairly young and could surprise some people next year.
