Thats messed up. Earl Jones would be a good wrestler with or without his other leg. He is very talented and won that match. They will meet again and we will see what happens.

What you said is not always true with the ref's some want to make a call that will determine the match. Instead of letting the wrestlers decide the outcome. Some what to make the outcome of the match in there own hands.

It doesn't say anywhere on this forum that you have to be from Kansas to talk on it.

I'm not really sure if some people have noticed, but Earl Jones does not have that big of an advantage over his opponents. For one, he is competing with only one leg. Seriously, how many of us could really accomplish in our lives what this young man has already done through his junior year in high school? As far as claiming him to be a potential 160-pounder "if only he had both legs," I've gotta say, "whatever, dude." How many of us have stepped out on the mat and wrestled someone with a strength level that was, to us at the time, seemingly inhuman? I remember getting off the mat with some kids and wondering if they were shooting something. Jones ain't just relyin' on his "ghost weight" - he is, as the ancient Greeks used to put it, wrestling, using only his own body to dominate his opponent.

All those people who think Jones has a big advantage sure destroy the term physical handicap. I guess Jones is just physically gifted!!! I am darn sure he would prefewr to have the leg and would be even better with the leg. I have never met the man but can't help but admire him.

MESSER YOU ARE AN IDIOT, PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY
TRIED TO TALK TRASH ABOUT JONES' LEG. IT'S
STUPID TO THINK THAT IT MAKES HIM A BETTER
WRESTLER BECAUSE HE IS LIGHTER, FACT IS
HE IS STRONG, HE HAS AN IRON GRIP. QUIT
MAKING EXCUSES, IF BOWMAN SHOULD HAVE WON
THEN HE KNOWS WHAT TO DO AND SHOULD DO IT AGAIN
NEXT TIME. I THINK THAT PEOPLE REALLY REMEMBER
WHAT SOMEONES RECORD WAS THEY REMEMBER STATE
CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND I THINK JONES WILL WON HIS THIRD IN A ROW. BOWMAN I THINK YOU ARE AN
OUTSTANDING WRESTLER, AND HOPE THAT YOU ARE NOT
ONE OF THE ONES MAKING EXCUSES. GOOD LUCK NEXT
TIME YOU AND EARL MEET, I KNOW IT WILL BE ANOTHER
GREAT MATCH BETWEEN TWO OF THE TOP WRESTLERS IN
KANSAS!!!

Somebody recently told me about the topic of our match and I have been reading everybody's comments on it and what they think. It has been very interesting to read all of the replys about the match. I agree with everybody who posted, it was a great match. But the comments that say "bowman won" or "bowman should of won" are wrong. I realize that the call at the end could of gone either way. But Jones did win the match, not me. I think Earl is a great wrestler and a person I really respect. I assure you J.D. that I have made no excuses and I appreciate your compliments.

Class post Mr. Bowman. May your tribe increase. I'm sure you have made your parents/coach/etc proud with your awesome attitude! Best of luck to you for the remainder of the season.

Yes, It was a good match, Earl won 4-2 with a reversal in the last few seconds of the match.
Jones, Wilderman, Bowman, & Ashpole will all be at the Chanute tournament this weekend. Should be exciting!
