Who is going to win state this year at 145lb? The Burlington regional was tough. All 4 boys from that regional deserve state medals. Unfortunately they might not all get them. Wiscombe will get his third chance at Dukes in the second round. Who will win? Ross Taplin from Abeline was very impressive. Especially for a freshman at a higher weight class. He reminds me of one Nigel Isom in his Energy on the mat. Joe Barringer wrestled smart and beat Stirling of Spring Hill.
My vote is STIRLING from Spring Hill. I feel sorry for the number one seed kid that has to wrestle him first match. He lost two hard fought matches on Saturday. He knows why he lost and he is going to kick some butt in Wichita.
