Who has the furthest to drive this year for regionals. I know that Clearwater has to drive all the way to Colby. Thats about a 6 hour trip. Can anybody explain why they have to travel that far when Rose Hill is hosting a regional and thats about a 30 minute drive. Just curious.

Wow, three point, I thought that it was criminal that we at Pratt had to go to Colby, but didn't think about you guys being so close to Rosehill and having to wander across the western wastes when you are so close to the oasis. Just to add some grease to the wheels of misfortune-- check out the freezing rain and snow crap forecast for Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. Ohboy, what a treat!

Holy cow bells batman and I complain about the 1-1/2 we make for some of our duals *L*. That is to long to be on a bus full of cranky, excited, nervous kids.
Our trip this year is 1 hour. Up one hour. Gotta like that.

6 hours? Are you coming to Colby by horse and buggy? Really, it shouldn't be more than 4.5 hours or so.

We can put the shoe on the other foot too. Ask any of the 321A teams in the NW regional if they would WANT to travel longer to get into another regional. The answer would be "yes" so they could qualify more kids. This year there does seem to be a little more equality though.

This is all decided by the KSHSAA. They basically divide the state into four geographic regions and whatever region a town falls in is where they go. This is a little simplified but basically correct. The state also makes no bones about the fact they want to get "the best kids from the four regions of the state"-not necesarily the best kids in the state.

I have three girls all under the age of five so I love bus rides, especially long ones, because those are the only times that I get to take naps, ever.

Buhler has a 5 hour trip to Colby as well. Colby is on the edge of the earth it seems.

Seems the earths edge makes for some darn tough wrestlers! Maybe those from the "earths Center" should bow-up a little bit!

Holmes:
I have seen Cinderella so many times that I can quote and sing it word for word. Fortunately they have graduated on to Sponge Bob, which i find far more digestable.
