I emailed Mr. Lutz asking him to cover The Newton Tourney.I asked him to write about the deication, courage, and athleticism of these warriors. so we shall see what happens. It is amazing the atheletes involved in wrestling.
Do you think Bruce Hertl would send a camera
man to cover the tournament.These kids desrve
the recognition.

The Eagle usually has it's favorites. Maybe if one of the schools it favors would contact them or enough people contact them.....it could happen.

I,m going to guess we will receive the standard 10 or 15 second spot the night of finals on the local news station and a few pictures of some pins with an article describing some individual wrestler's legacy the day after in the local newspaper.

lol you sound like a little child who's just seen how a toy works! but i hear ya lancer... East Kansas wrestling doesn't get jack when it comes to wrestling coverage. Everything around here is basketball tournaments. Makes me sick! The only real press we get is the weekend of state!

We get a lot from the Neighborhood News inserts in the KC Star. They usually cover the biggest tournament of the week and then one or two individually. Last week this did one on the Baker twins. Hell, last year they even wrote on my once, it was sweet. But in terms of TV we get nothing.
