I have personaly wittnessed the KMC guys playing hacky sack at the liberal for there team warm up, we were running at the time and i couldnt understand why they were doing it. Then there coach walked in and got this really pissed off look on his face and i figured they were gonna get in trouble for not warming up. But no, he said " ok guys everybody in!" and then they sang "you've lost that lovin feelin" and went up and sat down in the stands. end of warm up. Must be a 6a thing.

p.s. this is Denis Fairleigh, im just to lazy to sin in on mine.

Kapaun was running at the JC tournament, which automatically boots them from competition. Manhattan would NEVER do such a thing. Unless of course we were making fun of someone.

So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

I have to agree with Jhris on here by saying the best way to warm up is eating as much as food as possible, because by then you will be a lot heavier than the guy you have to wrestle, running is also too tiring.

Back in my day(98-02)at Spring Hill we would wait until just about every other team was running in one particular direction, then after rounding up all the troups we would send a freshman out front to cause a lil chaos, by running in the opposite direction that everyone else had decided to run in, making incidental contact all along the way. usually didn't last that long as we were all way out of shape, and really didn't want to run.

One of my favorite warm-ups to watch in my opinion is Shawnee Heights. They get out on the mat and their coach tells them what to do. They wrestle with a partner and wrestle live for about 20 minutes I think. It is pretty cool to watch. I can't swear that I would enjoy doing it but everyone has a different way of warming up.

Shawnee Heights' warm up is a ball buster. I have first hand experience. What we do is called flowing, where you do a live takedown on a partner who gives about 30% resistance. Then the partner does a live escape with about the same resistance. Then you switch roles and go again. In practice we would do this sometimes for 20, 30 minutes without stopping. Great for getting in shape and practing takedowns full speed, but not any fun at all.

I think the 103 pounder you are talking about was Marc Stainbrook, he left, I think, his junior year to join the job core or something like that. He was a handful for most 103 pounders just because he was pretty huge. he had a bad disposition about things though, but overall he was a good kid.
