I remember we would wrestle Hickman Mills, Mo at the Paola Tournament back in High school....coach said he'd kill us if we lost to a team with a worse mascot than the Fighting Irish....oh by the way for the curious...Hickman Mills is home of the Fighting Kewpies...like the Kewpie Dolls I kid you not!!!

You do a great job with the bobcat, but I wish you would consider starting an hour earlier on Friday. Especially now, with the addition of teams and more matches.

unfortunately, since the KSHAA has a limit to how many miles from home a Ks. team can travel to compete, in many cases the only chance a Ks. team would have to compare itself to the qualityof wrestling in other states is to go to an in-state tourney with out-of-state entrants. It is interesting to note that some of the guys that minimize the talent of the smaller western schools are the first to pick up the torches and pitchforks when one of the western teams leaves
their area to attend another event. Goodland is a very high quality program but there are many others equally so that will be eager to replace them at newton. It seems kindaodd that tourneys like the Goodland dual tournament are looking for entrants-- it would be good to see more of the eastern teams head out west and try out the very hospitable surroundings there. I beleive you would be surprisd at how well run many of the western tournaments are and how nice the people are out there.
