I'm not sure that they are specifically complaining about the size of the gym @ Southeast. As you stated it is the same size and layout as many other City League schools. But also as you have pointed out, the facility is 40-50 years old and the locker rooms, restrooms, etc... are very uninviting and unhospitible to visiting teams. As you stated, the wrestling mats are the same no matter what the size of the gym is, but I'd take a wrestler that was able to move, stretch and warm up in a larger facility, such as Northwest or Heights over the one that was wrestling in the quonset hut. And, you knowing all that you do about the City League, should know that Wichita East got a brand new gym, which I haven't been inside of yet, but from the outside looks simply amazing. I think I saw an elevated jogging track in there.

"Rankings have been adjusted to have only 4 kids per regional ranked in the top 16."

Is the new gym at W. East officially opened? A friend from W. Heights informed me earlier in the season it was not yet completed.

If it is available, it truly is a shame it will not be utilized!
