Kansas Wrestling Forums General Discussion High School Marysville vs. Chapman (predictions from people who've seen both)

Just curious from people both inside and out of the NCKL how these 2 teams match up as they are wrestling tonight in Marysville...I don't remember the last time Chapman lost to Marysville in a dual, although I've known CHS has dominated the series in the last few years.

Idk about the wrest of the weights.. but i got a chance to see both there 215 pounders wrestle... Thoreson and Westby<-- spelling... i think that outta be a good match. imma have to go w/ Thoreson winning though, i might be wrong.

Thanks Ned....Where you from by the way that you've seen both? Will Thoreson wrestle (I know he had his matche stopped at Beloit with Jhris Cennings) 171 could be interesting with Weller of Chapman and Fitzgerald battling it out Weller is #3 ranked in the state and Fitzgerald I believe is #4.

Yeah, i forgot about Thoersons injury.. I saw him wrestle all through out kids and middle school and heard he did real well at Beloit...and i cant remeber where i saw Westby but i was impressed.

But yea ill agree w/ you on the Fitzgerald and Weller match..that would be worth admission alone.

I'm trying to find out the results but all the links to people that should know aren't working I swear.

The wrestling match between these schools was postponed due to weather and will be held next tuesday.

That now means with the change Chapman will participate in the 5 team Round Robin Tournament at Concordia on Saturday...get Sunday off, practice Monday travel to Marysville on Tuesday, practice Wednesday, then travel back to Concordia to take on the panthers all within 5 days. I actually kind of like it...you need to get that competition as we approach Regionals and this will really help for the guys to keep weight in check and be in excellent condition. Hopefully I get a new tire for my car so I can go to Concordia for at least the Tournament, we shall see.
