Glad to see Jordan Shorter back wrestling again. I believe he quit last year following the Minneapolis Tournament.

Jon was just playing with Jess though. If he wants to, he can pin him in less than 15 seconds. I am so glad to see Jordan out for wrestling this year. He is going to be a great leader for our young team.

I'm going to have to guess somewhere in the 152-171 range.

I'm not trying to sound so bad here, but the first sentence sounds like you're saying Jon is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Jess, which maybe the case, but saying you can pin him in less 15 seconds if he wants too, that might be stretching it (it might be true but should not be posted on here as it's demeaning to Jess IMO). Also would Jon be your son?

Alex

Alex...ready for the egg on the face moment? Not Jon's mom....that is Jess's mom. Also Irvine is slated to go 171. I think Jess who was giving up weight and experience will benefit from having Shorter and Arveson near his weight to work out with. 125-171 should be pretty solid for Chapman this year. Noel Richardson has the talent and great partners that he could do well at 160 as a freshman. Young team with 17 guys listed on the roster and only 2 seniors.(Shorter and Taber).

Right now 215 is the only open weight we have. I'd like to see Perry Freeman eat a sandwich or two and be above 171 so he can bump to 189...then bump Matt Mann to 215, so we have bodies at those weights come duals or even a tournament regardless of how good they may or may not be. You can always beat Bye and Forfeit.

sorry, I am just saying what is true. Jess is a very good wrestler and I am very proud of him. Jon and Jordan have really worked him hard in practice and he is only going to get better because of it. They are both great young men and I am glad that Jess has a chance to learn from them.

Okay I will now go crawl in a hole.... No but seriously I'm sorry Mom4 for what I said. Thank you for correcting me Aaron and Mom4 tell Jess good luck this year, I came from a .500 JV record my freshman year to a 2x SQ by the end of High School. If I can do that then anyone can do it.

Rest assured Nigel that you were giving good press in an email reply to Curtis Rein.
