Anyone see the Harding/Younkin match? I'm surprised by the fall. How did this match play out?

Not making excuses but could just finishing football a couple weeks ago have anything to do with it? I know they would have a week to sit out and take a break from football before starting wrestling which puts them as having about a week before the first tournament? That could have had something to play in it.

Your interpretation of the rule is incorrect.

The fall buffer week prevents all athletes whose fall season has been completed from participating in any winter activity at their respective high school during this designated week. If a high school athletes fall season has not been completed prior to the buffer week, the athlete and school may continue to practice until the season is completed. Upon completion of the fall season, providing the completion date is after the buffer week, the athlete may immediately join the winter activity.

Yes Richard I knew that you didn't have to take a week off after the Buffer week was over, but many schools will offer the option of taking a up to a week off. That's what I was trying to ask.

At many schools, the athletes will at least take a few days off if not the entire week. It is good for their body and minds to "breathe" before starting the rigorous practice again.

well Southeast of Saline wrestled Thursday friday and Saturday this week after winning the state championship weekend before. I would say they didn't rest to much. Most schools I would think would want the wrestlers in the room as soon as possible to start preparing. They will have time off in Decemeber over holidays
