Tourney Time!

The Wichita City League tournament is Saturday at Wichita Heights starting at 8 a.m.

The league champion will be crowned using results from the regular season and the tournament.

Bishop Carroll, which is looking for its fifth straight league title and is the defending Class 5A champ, has clinched the regular season title.

I am not exactly sure how the Eagle can say Bishop Carroll has already clinched, given that we have two duals tonight. But does the Eagle ever worry about details like that when it comes to wrestling? (For example saying it starts at 8 when it starts at 9 am.)

If you want to see a great dual tonight come out to KMC at 5:00 and see two of the top 5 teams in 5A go head to head. 103,112,135,and 171 all have two top 5 wrestlers competing. Plus Carroll has three other ranked guys and KMC has two other ranked guys. So in 9 of the 14 matches you will see at least one ranked guy wrestling. Should be a very close dual!
