Unbelievable matches between these 3 at the Leavenworth tournament this weekend!!! WOW!!!

Perez vs. Livengood: Tough physical match; Livengood put Perez on his back with a sweet roll- Livengood up 7-4 on top with 15 seconds left in the match-Perez hits a Peterson for a 5 point move and wins 9-7

Livengood vs. Ely- Ely initially dominates with quickness and speed taking a commanding lead however, he then lets Livengood get into a physical brawl and Livengood takes down Ely and pins him

Ely vs. Perez: Ely outwrestles Perez using quickness and sticking with sweep singles and switching to doubles and beats Perez in a fairly convincing match on technique

Livengood wins the pool, Ely gets second!

Wish I could have seen Livengood, Ely, Perez scrap. My boys and I tried to get over to Leavenworth following our Spring Hill tourney to cheer Ely on (Slammer Teammate), but were too late.

Ken Livengood has pinned some of the best in Kansas with his superman strenght. The Altman, Shumate? Ely, Perez, Lingengood mix at 6a 119lbs this year will keep us all on our feet.

Best of luck to all,

Mike Flynn

Don't forget to mention that Ely & Livengood took it into overtime due to the 2 stalling calls in the last 15 seconds of the match on Ely. Ely had a nice single going into overtime but some coach jumped in front of me so i didn't get to see Livengood's pin. Now I understand why the head table always says, DOWN IN FRONT!

You should be asking, how many opponents have as much experience as Perez?

After watching Perez wrestle again yesterday, I realize how good of a match this was (Perez/Ely). It made me realize that Perez does have more moves besides the so called "snake", but I doubt we'll see any more of them until state.
