Bronco here are a few of my predictions: At 103 also in the mix Bates Clearwater. At 112 in the mix will be Newell of Ulysses. At 125 Jeff Stan from Hugoton. At 130 Blake Fisher from Andale. 135 Daniel Gonzalez wil be in the mix.I also think that Lackey will be at 135. 140 Taylor and Eck will be in the hunt. At 171 Riner from Pratt will be there along with Moser and Garrett. At 189 you have to be looking at Rosin, Robinson and Sheer. 215 Pfenninger along with Kriss. and 275 should include Brown Morphis and Campbell

Ulysses changes: Newell was lost for the season with a severe collar bone fracture during the Liberal Invitational. His back up, a very solid senior, Rusett, broke his hand and had surgery. Newell probably would have been a 2 seed over Albers. Rodriguez was lost for the season with an AC separation, collar bone at the GC tourney. Garcia was lost due to an infection after an appendectomy in Mexico over Christmas. Morphis quit to take recruiting trips for football. He would have been a state placer at 275, and probably no worse than a 2 seed. At 103, Siebert quit.
Look at Prater at 145, and Riner at 171. Both will probably place.

Here is a post from Mike Fairleigh on the 4a Russell Regional topic:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- riner beat heckle at both 171(pratt tourney) and 160(uly the next week) but unfortanitly broke his collarbone and wont make regionals. ben a pretty devistating year for the pratt team as all three state qualifiers are now out for the season.

Riner may be back by regionals, hard to tell if he will be back well enough to qualify. Of our guys, Kocher, Prater, Joey Schaeffer at 152, Cole Kreutzer at 160, and Riner are all possibilities, but the strongest possibility that I see right now is Caleb Cambpell at heavy. He has really been a load this year and has over 25 wins. Pratt will have some representation at state, I think, but the cast of characters is not what I had expected.

Bronco Wrestler probably thought this week was Schields' week to be hurt. Seems like an every other week occurance.

I heard Schields kind of rushed his return before the Oberlin dual and his shoulder didn't quite hold up in that match. So that's why he'd been off and on until recently.

Those were my guesses based on information I had at the time. I know I can't please everybody (try being an offical you'll understand). You'll only please 50% of the people. They were just for fun, Friday is when you'll see who still has a shot and how far off I really was (probably another regional off, oh well) and saturday is when it comes payday.

it's all good, they were made to be debated... at least it sparks some interest in something about Russell, besides being the home of Bob Dole
