There are no State rules or State guidelines for novice tournaments.
This is something the clubs do on their own and is not mandated by the State Wrestling Board at all?
We used to not have novice tournaments.
The way I look at it is every tournament is a novice tournament? That is why we have a ranking system?
Put the A-B's together, C-D's together, Novice by themselves unless you don't have enough then put them with the D's.
Novice tournaments are for more clubs to make money, which is good because we needed more tournaments because a few years ago you could'nt hardly get in tournaments because they were full?
Now some kids will just wrestle on Sunday's and that free's up space on Saturday's.
It doesn't matter how you put kids in, people are still going to bitch no matter if it's a novice tournament or a open.
