You're correct. I just got the "official" word from our AD (not that he's all that "official") - wrestling begins at 3 pm.

first off mr. koranda... I would like to apologize for the false accusations I stated at an earlier time. You must realize I thought you were some kid simply blowing smoke. I also realize the handle on the on the shaft of the javelin has moved forward since you competed now making it harder to throw in the 200's.

Ummm, not according to our district AD, two team coaches, AND one of our very own refs - Shane Koranda. I believe the coaches meeting was last night (not for sure, but it was what was planned). We scheduled our inservice to be done at 2:30 so we can make the tournament on time.(Gotta have priorities!) And the 11:00 start time Saturday is also correct, with finals scheduled to begin at 6:30.
(edited to add that this comment now looks out of comment and has abit of attitude, since the post I was replying to was deleted)

Jumpin Jack again I have to agree with your comments. Big Daddy doesn't need a hanky. He is stating a fact. Maybe increase the amount of kids from regionals from top 4 to top 6 go on to state. After all we place the top six at state and many times I have seen a kid lose at our regional and not make it to state that was a previous state placer or a state qualifier, because of how tough his weight was at our regional. I know this would make a larger tourney at state, but hey what else do we have to do on a weekend.

Mom 160, I enjoy alot of what you are saying, especially about a jv wrestler. Sometimes it is 2 bad when wrestling isn't or can't be like track. If a track team has 3 guys that can run a 100 M. in 10.1, 10.3 and 10.5, they would all go to state. But if a state champion beats a jv wrestler 3 to 1 every week in wrestle off's, the jv kid stays home. I guess we all live by the rules, not make them. But I did enjoy your comment.

broeckelman, thanks a bunch. The rules can never make everyone happy, but they do serve the majority. Good luck to all the young athletes this weekend!

Congratulations to Eureka on a well-run tournament! The officials did a fantastic job, the championship ceremony was second to none, and the championship brackets themselves are incredible! And on top of all that, there were some intense matches to enjoy. KUDOS!

I would agree with what you said MOM. I thought everything went exceptionally well in Eureka. Everyone involved from the administrators, to the wrestlers and officiating worked to the best of their ability to pull off a strong regional. Great matches on the mat too.
