If Mr. Salyer wants to guess that gutwrench is any member of this world, than that is his right. It is not Mr. Salyers fault that gutwrench portraits himself the way that he does.
Nigel, I have to disagree with you on a couple of your comments. Believe me, it could hurt Tony Purler's reputation some here in the Kansas City area. I sent my son to Tony's academy for a little over a year and a half. As I have stated it was a very positive experience for my son and I believe it made a big difference in his wrestling. I developed a great deal of respect for him during that time. I hold Tony in the highest esteem. My son has not been involved in Tony's academy since about July or August 2004 when Tony had to close his Rockhurst High School site. I would like to see my son go back and participate in Tony's high school summer group that he holds every year. I will offer the opportunity to my son to do that. It will be my son's choice. But I can tell you for sure that I would never allow my son to go back to one of Tony's camps or academy if I thought he was gutwrench1. Not after gutwrench1's post (deleted by moderators) that he made on the SM North topic a couple of weeks ago. I still think that comment deserves an apology from him. I think there are a number of other people in the KC area of Kansas who feel the same way and would also refuse to partake in Tony's camps or academies if they thought he was gutwrench1.

Finally you are right it is not Richard's fault that gutwrench1 potraits himself the way he does. But it is definitely Richard's fault that he suggested that it was Tony Purler who was portraiting himself in this manner. Sorry, Nigel you are on the wrong side of the fence on this one and no one is demanding that Richard make an apology. I believe I just said that I think Richard should apologize. We all at times make mistakes. We are all human and there is nothing wrong with admitting to it at times.

Yes, the extra dollar will be to absorb the cost of feeding the 4A coaches for free.

Bill DeWitt, Good luck to all at the 4A tournament in Salina. I'll read about it for a $1.50. Also for those who say Richard has ruined a wrestling coaches career, or sentenced to death for being a moderator abusing his POWERS is at best laughable. A trained monkey can see the intent of the topic. This is somewhat like the liberal whitehouse media covering the Cheney hunting incident. I would still rather hunt with Cheney than go for a car ride with Ted Kennedy anyday. lol goodluck at regionals and state to all.

I don't normally side with Richard, but on this one I will. I don't see how Richard could have hurt Tony Purler's reputation when gutwrench stated that he isn't Tony. End of discussion, why would people still think gutwrench is Tony.

I don't think Tony would want to sue. Then the records of this forum would be subpoenaed and everybody would no longer be anonymous. Now that would be fun. There would be a lot of people headed for the hills including the man from KC.

Last week I talked about this topic with my son's kids club coach. He said no that gutwrench is not Tony Purler. His comment was that gutwrench was a Kansas guy and that if you read his stuff closely enough you can tell he knows a lot of detail about Kansas people and tournaments. I have never seen Tony Purler in Kansas City at a Kansas high school event or ever heard him talk about Kansas high school wrestling tournaments. Tony and his brother Nick are Missouri guys and spend all their time and energy at Missouri events. Why would anyone at this point still think that Gutwrench is Tony Purler?

Okay, it didn't seem like a joke though when I read your post. The only reason I started posting on this topic was to defend Tony Purler, a person who I have a great deal of respect for. The one positive thing about the topic is that the people who know Tony and have posted on this topic have only very positive things to say about him. The topic stopped being about Gutwrench almost from the start.
