Clearwater's going to be having some fun practices. They qualify a heavyweight and a 103 pounder.

Mike I must admit I had some help on the inside. I got updated brackets each night before I left so I could post them. I also enjoyed the hospitality room. It wasn't really anything but I know how reporting those things makes finding information easier. I basically retyped exactly what was printed on the sheets handed to me tonight.

I must admit the marquee match of the night IMO was the Heckel 8-7 win over Finley. It was really a high intensity action filled match.

After a bit of a down year last year it is good to see Heckel coming on like he is. He has not always been the most popular wrestler in the house but there is no doubt that he is 100% warrior. I wish him well at the state tournament.

I'm thinking that there may be four placers coming out of that weight class also. 145 was stacked, as was 160 and 152.

I had a problem with the referees at regionals. i have alot of respect for those people but i have to admit i watched the 189 pound consolation semi match between scott city and larned and i thought it was horrible.
One of the other calls i didnt agree with was when heckel didnt face after the optional start. i used to be a ref and i KNOW that it states clearly a wrestler had the choice to face on an optional start, heckel sat there and that, in my opinion should not have been stalling. but the worst thing i would have had to seen is that there was only one stalling call on that larned kid in the cons. semis, he didnt do anything!
