Mike,
You really won't have any difficulty in finding the tickets. I generally have waited until the session just started and paid face value for them,

I have had several people tell me that Klint so am taking a chance. I have even been told that you can get lucky at times and get them for below face value. Hope that is the case, but am really looking forward to it.

It is a great experience, we are debating on possibly making a trip out of it with my group home kids. Though teaching them to scalp might not be part of their case plans!!

It is so great to see that many people cheering for wrestling, the fan base is probably the most knowledgeable group of sports fans i have ever been around. They know everyone!

Last year in St. Louis I bought tickets $40 under face value sat in row 25 one section to the left of center. My dad and brothers paid full price sat on one of the corners and were 15 rows higher than what I was. They had their ticketes in advance and I purchased mine on the walk up to the Savis center. I am hoping to get a better deal this year. It's a much needed time to relax after a rough and tough HS season.

Me and my buddy have our hotel room but were waiting to buy tickets there. Our hotel room is something like $35 dollars a night so we might end up sleeping in his car because it doesnt sound to nice, but i figure when were not watching wrestling we will be at the bar or doing something else ok city has to offer. Im pretty excited, i have never been before. Should be a good time.

One of the things that makes it a great experience is the way they announce the matches, they will draw attention to a particular mat if it is close, or for all-american status, they have a set of announcers, one male and one female and it sends chills down your spine during the process. The great matches are the session to see who makes all-american status and who doesn't.

Also if you have young wrestlers there is always a clinic prior to the start of wrestling that is fantastic,,, you have to register in advance,,,

It used to be all you could catch were edited down versions of SOME of the finals matches at about 2AM three days later on ESPN. However, if you (or in my case your local sports bar) have ESPN-U you may be in luck. I've been catching some great college wrestling coverage on there in the afternoons. Saw the Minnesota v. Oklahoma State dual in it's entirety last week. What a friggin' dual!! They're ranked #1 and #2 in the nation right now and the dual score came down to the HWT match which featured the #1 and #2 ranked individuals in that weight class. To top it off, that match went into overtime.

St. Louis and Oaklahoma will be two different stories. Tickets on the street will go higher than they did in St. Louis, Oakies will be snatching tickets up left and right. It will be very orange and red with alot of support for OU and OSU. Rught now you can still get tickets online although they seats are not that good. I'd rather have bad seats at a wrestling tournament than front row seats at a basketball game.!! :-) But thats just me.

Haven't made the room reservation yet, looked today and a lot of rooms still available. Going to call down tomorrow morning and make the reservations. Anyone wanting to go down with Nate and I and take the chance let me know. Tried making some calls today and give the offer but no takers. Going down Thursday morning early, coming back early Friday afternoon to be back in time for weigh ins for the kids state Subs or Districts, whatever weekend it is. I know that OSU and OU folks will be there in force, but also know that there will still be good seats available. A lot of tickets will be used just for Finals and All-American rounds.

I'm working the tournament as a volunteer. I guess I'm signed up as a table worker. I still don't know where I'm staying though. We made a roadie out of going to the O-State/Minn match at the Ford Center this year. It was awesome. Some of the guys were sitting right next to Smith's wife.

I can see it now, national confusion and controversy over table workers mistake at mat 2. Jilka is seen on the news with his hands up. The expressoin on his face kind of looks like his avatar. We can all say, "Hey, we know him."
