There were alot of good matches but pick the best match you watched all year? I don't even know the Norton kids name but the best match I watched all year was between Romero Cotton and the kid from Norton. What a battle!!

I know I’m kind of partial… Miller vs. Price last weekend! It got real good when Coach Nigg turned all red and got real emotional!

Best match this year Jason Pyle, Sabetha, wrestling Brian McClure CAMERON, MO at the Maryville, MO tourney. Brain is now a three time state champ in MO. The score was 7-6 McClure with a questionable takedown in the second period. One great match even though Jason came up on the short end of the score.

Best match hands down all year was Strawn v. Sutton-Kearn in the finals of Chapman Regional, it was amazing!

The Erisman/Mamie match at the Jo. Co. Classic was very good.

The best match I saw all year was between Furches and Cox at Rose Hill. Cox really suprised me and took it to Furches.

Gotta agree with kswrfan. The Erisman/Mamie match was intense. Both kids are studs and went at it with skill and physicality rarely seen at the high school level. I didn't see the Strawn/Sutton-Kern match, so I can't comment, but I have heard detailed accounts from excellent sources and it sounds like a classic. If it was at the Mamie/Erisman level then everyone in the building at Salina got their moneys-worth in one match.

I am going back a year here but the Pyle/Weatherbee match from last years 321A 130lb semi-finals was one of the best matches I have ever seen.
This year for me was Jordan Meyer of Sabetha and Willy Lucero at Big 7 League. I also enjoyed the Baker/Wagner finals match at Beloit this year. And Pyle vs. Finley at Beloit this year was a great match to. Hase/Ceman in the finals at State this year was awesome, as was the match between Marrs/Sutton-Kern at Beloit.

I'm going to have to disagree. I would have to say it was the Strawn v. Sutton-Kearn in the finals at State, lol

Roe vs. Cotton at Newton was a great match decided in double overtime.

Sutton-Kearn vs. Strawn at State was a better match than the Roe vs. Cotton match in every way, but the end.

Two great performances by outstanding athletes.

The best I've seen all year was Naccarato and Sparks. They went into double overtime at both Newton and State

Best finals match.
1) Sutton-Kearn vs, Strawn at 189.
2) Finley vs, Heckel at 145.
Neither one of those was over until the last second.

3) Weatherbee's title at 130. It was nice to see him come back from a severe football injury this fall to win a title. It wasn't a great match by any means, but it was a great story.

What about Cole Konrad and Steve Mocco the first match, or Johny Hendricks and Ryan Churrela's finals match.

The first two come from the Metro Classic:

Andy Hurla of Aquinas' 5-4 last 15 second victory over Eric Graham from Park Hill was amazing.

Levi Bowen of Ottawa winning in overtime against Levi Thompson from Missouri was as intense I have ever been during a dual for a long long time.

This match was at High School Nationals in Pittsburgh, PA:

Tristen Deshazer's first round match at High School Nationals was also extemely exciting. He was down and hit a 5 point move (reversal to the back) for a win- 10-9.

What about Elliott Augusta vs Jonas Kapaun
or Cotton Hutch vs Eck Andale?
