Mr Harris, What form do we have to have our coaches fill out in order for it to be valid?

Your coach should have a competition weigh-in form to use. If not, just bring a signed document verifying the weigh-in.

Just wondering if anyone had results. I had planned on going, but couldn't make it.
Thanks!

Small schools won 41-31. Came down to the heavyweight match and could have gone either way. But the 4A HWT pinned a 2-time 6A state champion in the last match. I don't have all the results, but from memory.....here goes:
Weight Small School Big School 103 - Burtin dec Rogers 112 - Rein LBF Stephens 119 - Madden won by 2 (I think) over Livengood 125 - Dawson lost in OT to Nothern 130 - Weatherbee LBF Deshazer (TRISTAN IS THE REAL DEAL!!) 135 - Dreiling lost to Munoz 140 - Garcia dec Hoshaw 145 - Heckel WBF Gray (??) 145 - Finley dec McKoon 152 - Pfannenstiel dec Loos 160 - Roe won 17-6 over Jonas 171 - Wright LBF Irsik (was that really a tilt that he pinned him in??) 189 - Bartlett lost to Bertucci 189 - Sutton-Kearn (with singlet on backwards) dec Hardy 215 - Strawn dec Edison 215 - Erwin lost to Naccarato (3-1??) 275 - Jones WBF Jessen

Jessen didn't wrestle. Xavier Louis - two time runner up to Jessen - took his place.
Deshazer and Roe looked AWESOME!

I would like to thank Kit Harris, Bob Gonzales, Regan Erickson, James Stout and all the senior athletes for their efforts in putting on a great event.
I gave Kit the official score sheet and he will be posting the results.

That explains the heavyweight match. I was wondering why a 2x state champion would get called for 2 full nelsons. Now I know.
At 135, I think the announcer said Moses found out at noon today that he was a replacement. He seemed to be in pretty good shape for that short of notice.

Wow lance Roe certainly turned it on tonight-- to beat a wrestler the quality of Jonas has to set him out there amongst the carnivores for sure!

An absolutely fantastic event with tons of highlight film wrestling! (not that I'm plugging KWCA dvd)
My highlights!
Livengood came real close to beating Madden. Nothern and Dawson in a battle. Tristen is an animal. Pfannenstiel over Loos in another battle. Roe was quite impressive with a couple of very athletic moves ... WOW! Chris Sutton-Kearn and Jesse Hardy with a hard-nosed war. Finally, Donte Jones is just plain fun to watch!
Are you making a POSITIVE difference in the life of kids?

Roe beat Jonas like it was nothing. Is Roe the one that gave Cotton his one loss for the year?
Yeah, the small schools won - but ghez look at some of the match ups - they had their state champ going against a big school kid that took 4th or 5th or 6th. . . That happened at several of the matches. Seem a tad unfair. But, no problem. It was still a ton of fun to watch. Thanks kids. THanks refs, coaches and Kit.
Speaking of the refs - it was announced that all three of them donated their checks for the evening to the Grater Fund. THat was way cool. Good job men.
Looking forward to seeing how Deshazer, Strawn and Roe do at HS nationals. Those three stood out to me tonight. Especially TD. Impressive.

I think that Erisman and Baker will be as good as the above mentioned guys, this could be as good a Kansas national year as we have had in awhile. I think about the impressive shows that were put on by Grater, Cornejo, Baldridge, Taplin, etc. from last year, and yet the guys that had the success this year were Chenowith, and Youngkin. Any one of this years crop could jump out and be the guy next year, you just never know.

I did see your friend Mr. Furches and Chenoweth arrived with a Newman assistant coach, but NO Sweazy. I was sitting on the same row as you. I was just down a bit by the Strawn family and with the Atchison High School Group. Randy Hinderliter was up in front of me as well. Did you see how many people didn't clap when Chenoweth was recognized? At least one!
